there's another Eliminator on EBAY right now....

I like Charvels thanks to the consistency of the tone, weight, and necks they used on everything back then. Basically it is like fast food chains, you go into one location and every other locations food tastes the same.

and they are cheap because there's a flood of pointy haters out there who would rather pay 600.00 for a Fender that sounds the same... To each his own I guess.

I like this guy's attitude about Fenders

none of these will get a crowd toss, no matter how cheap everyone thinks they are

I have an Eliminator, and used to have a 3B also. I provided some gear for a local festival, and the bassist from Steel Attack (from Sweden?) ended up playing the 3B. "This is how a bass should sound!" he told me after their set. I had to agree, having recorded with it in the past and really liking it.

Naturally, I then turned around and sold it.

Awesome. I wish the preamp worked in my 3B. It's definitely the way I always wanted a bass to feel.

out of the bunch of Charvels I got, the 3b and 4b's sound the best

3b for the sustain, and 4b for the lighter bodyweight, but as far as tone goes, they are pretty much identical.

hahah, that is only meaningful when you see 2 of them in the same picture....and they are cheap....break something and you throw it away and buy another one

Rob, it was the easiest/simplest way NOT to pull the nut out of it..so the lefty bass got the righty neck, and for now, the righty bass wears the lefty neck.

honestly the 80's for me was sooooo long ago, but thru my music and basses I keep it alive also.

eh, what else can you say in a thread marked "I like"....

just like the guitar players, you say a couple words like "they are great players compared to many others"/"they look cool"....what else is really left to say about it right?
