Haha, I appreciate you looking out for me Amimbari
I'm surprised you didn't say: "Why don't you sell me one of yours"
although it looks like a lot of basses I own, it is actually pretty "paired" ( let me explain )
I have 2 of every model 1,2,3,4, so if I want to be passive, I take 2 model 2's. If I want to be active I take 2 model 4's...etc....and the CHS, TBX and that rogue KramerForum in the pic on the right on the floor never get used, just collectibles as well as a few others not in that pic.
I did use the lefty2b with the righty neck a couple times, but it sucks compared to the preampped models.

well Mazz, it has survived many gigs with no damage as my main bass from back in the day, and used it for almost 8 years, but all I do with it now is pull it out to make sure the battery still works and noodle on it "in the house" for some youtube videos..back 15 years ago who would have known that it was a failure in sales and they would only make a handful before saying no more. Once I saw it was actually worth something, I retired it.
as to the "sell it" thing...well I will but only under desperation for cash. ( haven't had to do it just yet ) There are 7 others that I have found over the years that still own TBX's, and those people have the same attitude about it. Look up Shark here...he is in Germany and has 3 of them, 2 TBX's and a 87 C/S-Bird the lucky bastard
IMHO, the 2 EMG's were put too close together, and as a result the difference between the N+B pickups is not that much of a difference.
My Dillion DFBB has the pickups spaced very far apart compared to the Jackson, and has a much more tonal range...but for that METAL CLANKY growly EMG tone--nothing I use sounds like the TBX -- it is a rock/metal bass if I ever heard one, perfect for those bands who love that sound!!!
Not necessarily...the 2440 is a pretty sick bridge.
And I think that Amimbari's reverse neck 1Bs look sick! Couldn't you put some nice pickups in them and then wouldn't they be just as good as any other of your preamped basses or do you want to keep them stock so you can reassemble them and sell them if necessary?

Kahler,Kahler,Kahler...always throwing it in my face
I think the only reason I didn't put on on the TBX in the first place is it will either go one way or the other.....
put it on and it will increase the value only for people who like Kahlers.
leave it off and the value remains for all users who could care less about a Kahler.
so I PM'ed theBigZ, and asked him if he wanted something. ( NO NOT THE 2b with the Kahler peabuddy, as you got first shot at that one )
I will slowly in 2010 get rid of a few, since most of them are still at the house for the novelty of having 2 of every "model" they made and I don't even use 1/2 of them anymore. ( and it helped that some of the things were WAY CHEAP ) !!

correct...I keep the stock stuff around so I can put it back the way it was and sell it off......
the lefty one will get a nut change sooner or later to invert the strings on it. I just had enough spare parts to swap necks for now.
and NO the stock pickups in all these s.u.c.k. for tone on my old rig. I did get my new gear a couple weeks ago and am slowly pulling all the basses out to see the tonal difference with a new amp and speaker cabs.
The CHS is still a basswood POS, and will probably get sold off as one of the first to go.
It plays nice, but just does nothing for me except look weird with a Fenderhead but they are pretty scarce, so it still remains in the house.
Hope everyone's Christmas was a good one, and may your 2010 be a prosperous year to recover from 2 years of bad economy!!!

Let me know if you start selling some...I might want to buy one.
