A Jackson dealer may be able to get you one...
I've got a friend who has a wrench that works perfectly on my Jackson guitars, so I just use that.
I'll give him a shout tonight and ask where he got it, maybe that will help if you can't get an answer from anyone here.I like EL34s.

I just knew that guy selling it for 199 was not telling the "whole story"....Look this bass up.$199 is a joke.Thats how desperate I am. Jackson 5 string bass.Concert Series CM5. Almost never used, mint condition
if I "REALLY" wanted it, I would hope the neck would go back into position, but he said MINT dude, I would file a claim with paypal just to piss him off.
hopefully the TR can adjust the neck for you SOB, I have the wrench size at home and I don't remember what fits the nut off hand. But before the end of the day, I'll find it or someone else will chime in with the size...

I'm not ripping on the price for what it is...I "almost" bought it when he had it listed at 199, but I already have a righthanded 5 stringer and I was a little skeptical about the "mint" thing, and I didn't really want a gumbyhead.
so let me rephrase my post a little?
good score, as long as the TR turns and the neck can be used, WAY TO GO!!!!

I'm curious ,if the truss rod is stripped out what are my options for repair or replacement?Aside from the gumby head neck I really like this bass.
ps didnt seem to me like you were ripping on itLast edited by SOB H.R.MC; 05-20-2010, 10:38 AM.

if it is broken and you know someone out there that does replacement surgery for cheap, then your golden.
however if you are really interested in keeping it no matter what, I have no clue on what you would have to spend to get a TR replaced or new neck that would fit that particular unit but to replace the rod or neck is worth more than the unit in my opinion and you should still tell the seller it's fuckked and make him take it back. FILE A CLAIM "not as advertised" and make him contact YOU about the issue. You can always cancel the claim at anytime if your satisfied with the whole deal, but I would never be if the neck is toast and he did NOT SAY in the ad that the neck is badly bowed. HE MAY BE just as he said a guitarplayer who don't know shit about anything, but that's besides the point...MAKE THE FUKKER SWEAT for YOUR inconvenience.
your call naturallyLast edited by amimbari; 05-20-2010, 10:59 AM.

hell ya 200.00 worth of cleanness BTW my Bently has a phase switch like that and if that one does what mine does...ooooh ya, a lot of weird tonal difference when soloing the pup with the switch in one or the other position.
Glad you got it, and enjoy the hell out of it ( I better not see it on ebay next week )...lol j/k
just for curiosity, whats the nut width on that thing so I can compare to the old C5 I use?Last edited by amimbari; 05-25-2010, 11:21 AM.

The hardware has a light dusting of rust but other than that and the gumby headstock well worth the money IMO .I havent had practice since I got it so I havent plugged it in to my SVT so in the meantime I'm playing thru my XT live.Amimbari I'll get the nut width & and string spacing tomorrowLast edited by SOB H.R.MC; 05-25-2010, 11:36 AM.

I never saw a p/j c5 with the 5knobs and a switch. All the ones I saw were c5Mj. In the cat scans theres also a c5a -2x HB, so maybe the p/j was some transitional model in the early 2000's never shown in the catalogs like the eliminator-5stringer
