"This is a very rare, very high-quality Jackson JPB 9 bass. Jackson JPB basses were only made for about 3 months in 1993 and never appeared in a Jackson catalog. Only 1200 JPBs of all models were produced, of which only a few were the top of the line "9." Production was halted due to a lawsuit carried out by a small luthier whose copyrighted body shape had been illegally copied by Jackson for these instruments. Ever since, the JPB models have been highly sought after due to their rarity and quality. These superb instruments were produced in Japan, and represent the finest bass ever made by the Jackson company. The body is rock maple with padauk caps front and back, and the neck is solid maple. (Padauk is a rare African hardwood, very dense and imparting incredible sustain to the bass.) The neck is straight and very fast. The instrument has excellent hardware (Schaller tuners), and licensed EMG pickups. I purchased this instrument brand new well over a decade ago from the House of Guitars, and have maintained it in like-new condition - no marks, dings, dents, or scratches to be found anywhere on it! The instrument comes with a Jackson case, the truss rod wrench and the original warranty documents. This is a GREAT bass, and you will be glad to have it for many years to come."
Amimbari, you're our bass expert, what do you make of this?"Quiet, numbskulls, I'm broadcasting!" -Moe Howard, "Micro-Phonies" (1945)

I never saw a JPB9 in person before and I dunno I only paid 125.00 for my 7, the 8 on ebay is way too high for a dirty fretboard, beat up case AND 70 dollars shipping is crazy, but...If I had the fascination for a 9, I guess I would try for 400-500 and see what happens...
and although it is not a 9, I'll have to live with my 7 for a while
there's a JPB8 on ebay this week also...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWeQtM-Tcqs << ya this is kinda not what I like to do musically, but we will see.
It will still "look" retarded with me holding it upside down, but I'll throw a strap on one of the neckscrews and jam something on it..hahaha

That guy looks just like Michael Hayes from "The Fabulous Freebirds" lol. Ok then how about another Wildside tune? "Hang on Lucy" always rocks.
