Picked this up for a song. The finish is quite nice considering the age with only a few small blemishes. The electronics are in rough shape as whoever did the pickup swap didnt shield it at all and also did not install a volume control. all 3 pots are scratcy but once its dialed in it sounds great. I use a gate so the volume control isnt bugging me so much but it will be addressed and the seller gave me 80 bucks back to fix it so I can't complain there. I'm very happy with the feel of this bass considering that I play Ibanezs almost exclusively. I'm happy with it. Now on to my first neck-through Jackson bass!!

It is a prototype (from the Harmony factory in India!) Neck thru 5pc maple and walnut neck with mahogany wings, rosewood fretboard and 18volt emg 35 pickup set... great sounding and feeling bass... unfortunately with all of my other basses, I play this one the least. Oddly enough I play my Kelly the most!!!

you know Matt, someone tried to sell me a black indian made futura and i thought it was fake, offered him a lot less and he kept it. I wouldnt have cared if it was fake if it was a lefty, but since it wasnt, I may have missed out on a nice unit. The string thru the body, the battery box and the "craftedInIndia" on the head threw me for a loop, so I said no.

here's some pics. ( the head says made in india right on it )

I'm happy he wanted to keep it since it was not a lefty, but I really have to wonder IF this thing IS real since you said yours was also MII???
