Does anyone know if the Kahler bass tremolo bridges made/used in the late 1980's have slight string spacing adjustment, between each saddle. The 6 string guitar models do.

yes the 2440 and 2450 are fully adjustable. Jackson also used a Schaller roller adjustable as well.

sometimes the neck is off center, and to fix it you would loosen the neck move it and tighten it back down straight. That will align the strings right up for you.

oh wow I wonder how that happened unless someone put a replacement nut on it slotted wrong??

That bridge is a 2410 not a 2440 (2440 is a fixed bridge that came stock on some J/C's in the late '80s/early '90s
There is an allen head bolt that locks the saddle sideways movement, if you loosen this, you should be able to move the saddle along the axle it pivots on to adjust the string spacing
This link^, shows how to adjust a guitar tremolo, the bass one you have is the same, except the saddles are rearward facing

I like it because someone took the time to rout in the extra-p but it is too busy looking. Where'd you find that? and a kahler trem?, that's a different story. me and peabuddy have had quite a few of those on our basses......
and Ralph is correct about the allen screw holding the saddles so you can move them sideways.one thing about the newer 7410 compared to the 2410 is you can move the string claws to match the string spacing, on the 2410 you cant so sometimes the strings are at a slight angle in relation to the string spacing.

It's for sale. It's not mine. I've been considering it. It has EMGs in it. I am thinking the electronics setup may be stock. Maybe not. The three mini switches are perfectly aligned like a H-S-S Model 4. One switch per pickup. That leads me to think the three sets of pickups are factory. Volume-Treble-Bass like a 3B. What could the extra switch and knob be? If the Kahler is also stock, would that make this a 1986? Custom order? It looks as if it could be a very cool piece. The routing looks very clean from the top around the extra set of pickups. It looks like there may be a paint chip in front of the bridge.

ZEP, that's far from stock, and it "could" be a 86, but the only way to tell is on the headstock, if it says (tm), then it is 100%. but the 3knobs and the inside switch tell me it started out as a 86 pretty much.
I would have to say the 3 in a row knobs are vol/treb/bass the other knob is now probably blend, and the stock switch? who knows.

it IS cool, just too busy with all the switches and knobs for my tastes. plus IF it was mine I wanted to modify like that I would have wanted the upper -p- to be the same pattern, not reversed like that one is. OR I would have also thought about routing out a regular humbucker so it would be HB/P/J, and certainly not that P/P/J patterned like it is.
But it is cool. Since it is for sale, how much?
