$399. That's not bad is it? This thing could be parted out for more than that.

oh shit 400? buy it for the novelty if nothing else. If that guy put it on ebay for 500-550, someone else who thought it was just weird enough to be a must for their collection it would buy it pretty quick.

if I saw that thing on an online store, I'd buy it today. ( well maybe tomorrow )

and Ralph is correct about the allen screw holding the saddles so you can move them sideways.one thing about the newer 7410 compared to the 2410 is you can move the string claws to match the string spacing, on the 2410 you cant so sometimes the strings are at a slight angle in relation to the string spacing.
yea a have a couple of those! lol i also have a bass trem with front rollers, still in the box

Dialing in that neck pickup has to create a pretty woofy sound, I'd say. Pretty much useless. A better move would have been to replace the J pickup with another P pickup, for a heavier sound. A red 3B is a pretty awesome thing, regardless.

It was easy for me to replace my J with a HB on mine as the mismatched hole was covered with the trim ring on the HB. They perhaps wanted a "mudbucker" gibson sound for some reason...only the builder/owner knows what the hell they were using it for.

I probably ( if that was mine ) would have put a extra J to make it look consistent and not so busy.

I had been watching that 3B w/Kahler for a couple months. Then I could have sworn it was sold. I just noticed it reappeared a week or two ago. It was gone this morning. Maybe because we have been talking about it. I'll have to be content now with my 1B, 3B and 4B. Not a bad collection for a lead guitar player. I have a 1966 Bassman head I've been playing the basses through. Into a 4x12 guitar cab. My best friend, a bass player, has an Ampeg 2x10 he offered me. It needs loaded with speakers. I have been enjoying playing bass at home because I have no need to play in any way, other than what my ear tells me sounds good. No band or gigs over my head. Just jam.

I was like you for a while, had a bunch of guitars just to play at home but sold them all except for 2 because there was no need, nothing rare or anything, and kept one lefty and one righty around to noodle on.

BTW, if you ever see any lefty jacksons anywhere and want to let me know, please feel free to do so.

I have never understood why they put tremolos on basses. Just don't make any sense to me

there are quite a lot of videos out there with bassplayers using them tastefully, however most are like a guitarplayers, distortion turned on / string wankers.

I am not a true bass player, but in my mind you could simulate fretless licks with one. Is that true? Microtonal slides and gliss effects.
