NBD Futura XL

Saw this baby listed at 200$ with a HSC and I knew I had to snag it. Had a few complications about delivery times, the guy kept lying about the date he shipped it, but in the end it got here.
She plays amazingly and gets a fat ass tone that I love.

According to this Jackson Pro series list the Futura XL started production in '92, from my knowledge of Jackson import serial numbers at the time, my bass was produced in '91. What's up with that?

they usually dont put a catalog out and then start making the units after, it is quite a time before that the protos get beten upon then the production goes to let the dealers know whats coming up to offer the customers.

yours is a lacewood neckthru 91 kipwinger. that is all.
the futura xl's were leftovers ( probably ) and the bolt-on's were the plain futuras.

but being a righty i didnt do it. i dunno what it is 2 emg's sharkfins..who knows.
I had a white futura-ex 3 knob and it was so nice when i found a lefty i bought it. dont see too many of those around and I still use it from time to time at gigs.
