looking for a good case.

Trying to locate a a quality case for my USA Concert and my Winger Lacewood model basses .Wanting to stay away from those flimsy cases that will crack like brittle.

Get an SKB or a G&G.

Actually those were the two I was looking at. I really didn't know which one of the SKB cases to get and the G&G I emailed and they said that since those were made in the nineties that they don't think they would have any. That I would need to trace my basses and send it in so that they could make them. honestly I like the looks in the door ability of the SKB cases but I don't know which model would be the best and would fit right

The Winger will be a tough case to fit due to the body width. A standard J/P bass outline won't work, and you really hate to get a "universal" case because it'll slide around. The Concert will be easier to get a case for - just look on Ebay for a Jackson SKB-style bass case. Gator cases are decent enough. Much better than the shit cases even the USA models came with in 1990. 1/4" plywood wrapped in vehicle trunk liner, or felt from the arts & crafts store.

I did see a pic somewhere once where someone took an SKB-style universal case and some of that pick-n-pull foam and basically made their own form-fit case. Can't recall when or where, though. Looked decent enough.

I think Anvil cases are like that, though the extruded aluminum trim and weighs-more-than-the-bass might be of some concern.

thank you very much for the information. the winger base that I have has a universal case and it moves around in it. The concert came w/ a non original case. My other two basses ( Peavey TL-5, Rudy Sarzo Signature ) those bass cases are sweet. I'll look on ebay and see what they have.

actually, any of those moulded cases will fit the winger/futura.

perfect? no, close enough unless you are taking it on a world tour to be confident it can handle the trailer with the other gear? yes :P The chainsaw cases will not it the futura.

ya they were made for the regular p-bass bodies in the first place so they are an easy fit.

Transportation yes.. But just to and from a show..
