So it has finally arrived safely in one piece ...

        Family photo!

Not a bass player myself, but it sounds very impressive both plugged and unplugged. For a 25 yo instrument it still feels very solid. Love the figured rosewood board too!

and i see you titled your photobucket folder appropriately charvel soloist ....cause thats what it is lol, ya a 1989 from the C9---- serial with the small tuners which makes sense since they stopped the 3B domestics in 88 ( and the large tuners ).

the 3b's got the large open gears

in 25 years I have only had 2 USA's and although the prestige of owning a bunch of them never was my luck, I never had ANYTHING go wrong with the MIJs...even the ones I abused in the heat, cold, rain and any other adverse weather conditions while out on the road back in the day. no TR hassles, no fret sprout, no pickup failures just.....nothing.

I wouldn't purposely toss it in the pool, but my old black 2b got so wet from a freak storm once that it ruined everything including the body EXCEPT for the neck...lol

and if it was the jackson version it would be a p-HB not a p-j like this one

It's no co-incidence that most of my guitars are MIJ I just love the history and stories that's associated with them as well!
