Re: bass learning
I recommend getting some videos....Louis Johnson / Stu Hamm / Victor Wooten ....learn from the best.
...also invest in a CHEAP drum machine....and when your bored just slap and tap to a slow preset then speep up the tempo gradualy ....soon you'll be playing bass like a typewriter.....I'm up to 300 words a minute
....I don't know a lick of theory but I can slap and tap with the best of 'em.... "Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

Re: bass learning
Wooten and Ham are such studs on the Bass. Jaco is good to listen to also.
Maybe it is just me but I liked Eric Avery's work on Deconstruction
The Opeth basslines are awesome alsoI keep the bible in a pool of blood
So that none of its lies can affect me

Re: bass learning
Learn this lick by listening! You can do it left hand only, thumb only, or fingerstyle. It took me a long time, but I can almost do it now!

It loops endlessly, so keep trying!
