I have heard Matt play, he is a damn good bassist. I must say (and this is going to show my age [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img] ), that my all time favorite bass player is Geddy Lee. Its not just his bass licks but the fact that he's playing bass, keys, and doing lead vocals at the same time! I was always amazed at their shows.

I have tons of favorites myself...Matt is just my favorite one that I've seen live lol...I love Cliff Burton, Robert Trujillo, Dee Dee Ramone, Mike Starr, and so many more...

Matt Freeman is the bassist in Rancid...he has a killer solo in a song called Maxwell Murder. When I saw them live last month he extended it...good times!
