Phil Collen Archtop bass..How many have you seen?

I have the opportunity to pick up a pretty unique bass and I haven't seen many of these.

It's a neck-thru Phil Collen Archtop with a 'Here's Johnny' graphic.

Anybody else have one of these?

Never seen one before either...gotta be a custom shop from the early 90s? What are the specs...if it's a decent price grab it man!

The catalogues at the Jackson Museum list it as a custom shop bass................

Well there was at least one other made...it's in the 1990-1991 catalog, white with white painted fretboard and 'ZZ Top' (I wonder who that was made for!) in black on the fretboard.

I haven't seen the 'Here's Johnny' yet. I'll be checking it out early next week & I'll get some pics.

Didn´t the Collen Archtop shape evolve into a "standard" bass-shape sometime in the early 90´s? I don´t think the bass-version was called a Collen, though.

But that one´s a customshop, anyhow. Grab it, quick!

Ok, I checked it out today and....this thing is BIZARRE!

I really liked it but it's in pretty beat condition.

My ole' pal Sully will be along here shortly with the pics as I am a mental computer midget.

Isn't that the same bass that the bassist of Pantera used to play while Cowboys from hell era?
It was Charvel though...

The Charvel Fusion and Eliminator basses had the Collen body shape, but not the same arch and contours. Here's a pic of my blue Eliminator...

I think that's the one I was talking about.
The guy from Pantera had 5string version of it in White.

Yeah I remember that Custom white ZZ Top one in a catalog from years back...can't wait to see pics of this one though!
