if it's a bolt on, it's a model 2B made in Japan. No idea about dating it from me, though.

I don´t know if it´s a bolt on, but I would asume it is.
However, I know it´s made in Japan.

I can't see a neck heel, and that combined with the serial suggests a neck thru. Which would make it a 3B.

Yup. "C" serials always indicate neckthrough Charvel imports, so it's a 3B.

I am pretty sure the 6 stands for 1986, being the year produced.
Did you buy it? I own an 87 (which begins C7) and it is a great player.

No , not mine nor is it for sale.
Just a bloke in Norway that had this bass and didn´t know anything about it.
He didn´t really know Jackson/Charvel as a brand either.

He´s on a norwegian music/guitar forum I´m browsing.
I could have directed him here himself, but he´s really not a cool guy. Just have a big mouth is pretty much an axxhole.

I've got a black 3B with a Hipshot D-Tuner and EMG EXB Expander. Plays and sounds great, but weighs a ton!

i've got a 3B w/JE-2000 active.. i installed another 9V (18V total), and it sounds great.. but is really heavy..
