I went to the local guitar store and sitting there was a 1985 Jackson bass with piezo system. Its neckthru, and it looks like its never actually been played. Is this model a Concert bass? Tries to check Jackson Museum serial list but it is down................

Just kidding
If it's shaped like a Soloist and not a turnip or whatever, it's a Concert.
Jackson's serial list is still up, right?
Anyhoo, before The Invasion (Fender buyout) Easton said that those piezo systems would sometimes shatter from the string vibration (guess they weren't really meant for bass).
It'd be interesting to hear how a newer, more advanced piezo system would sound in one of those. I'll have one someday
A friend in New Orleans had one back in 87/88 that was Black & Blue Bengal (old slanted/jagged Bengal, not Lynch-style), and it had a killer tone.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Nice. Wasn't me on that one, but I did get J1419 Concert Student bass a few years ago for $305

One thing I did notice about the old SD heads - they tend to bend forward under the string tension. I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
