  • Fretless conversion of a Concert V

I have been craving for a fretless lately, I have thought about defretting my Concert V, and figured that those beautiful sharkfin inlays won't look good on a fretless (and it would also confuse me), I'll probably have a new fretboard built for it, if I go for it. What do you say, would an unlined ebony fretboard on a Concert V look & sound cool, or should I keep it as is?

I'd leave it as-is, because the fins just won't look right, as you said.

Instead, get an older C5P and have it defretted. Those can be had pretty common and pretty cheap.
