I have been looking for a Bass for and finally found one. I am sure some of you saw this one on eBay. I am not sure I got a good deal or not but I am very happy with it. There are some nicks here and there but it's in extremely good shape. No fret wear, and the it play nice.

What are the specs on these things?

I know It's a 3B, with active electronics, I had a pearl white one, nice guitars!

You have a fine "hotel toilet seat" colored Charvel 3B, my friend!

I'm sorry...but I've never seen that pink color before!

Looks like it's just about in mint condition, apart from the wear on the pickup housings and that one little chip.

It's neck-through (as you can probably tell), it features Jackson P+J pickups, which are similar to my ears to EMG P+Js, it has a j2000 preamp (the controls are volume, bass, treble, then 3-way toggle, as you may have noticed), and it has the NICE tuners (half-open Grover titan-style mmmmhh ), unlike the smaller, enclosed tuners found on the 1B, 2B, and 4B designs and the stuff that you find on modern J/C basses.

Can't think of anything else to add at the moment...enjoy it! They kick ass!

The bass player in my old band had one of those. It sounded great. For some reason it had more punch than the Fender bass he occasionally brought to rehearsal.

was it that ebay ad? I'm the one with the 304 feedback , but wasn't prepared to buy it for 400.00


I will say the same to you, as I said to the other guy who outbid me on the white one that just sold on EBAY....

I'm glad you got it, cause I already have enough Charvel B series basses to keep me happy, but that color is not common, and I thought it would make a nice addition to the "rainbow". of colors I already have.

That was the one. I know I probably overpaid a little but the condition is very good and it came with a very good Charvel case. When looking at the max bids I am not sure if I got scammed or not. The next highest bid was yours at $205.00. In the end I am happy with it. Maybe next time I'll be a little more frugal.

I have been buying these things too long.. am I surprised you would pay 400 for it? nope...cause you got a clean/all things work 3B/charvel chainsaw case........ chowderhead will tell you what he paid to get HIS ORIGINAL one back from a store, with no case..that unusual color is the first and only one in that color I ever saw, so be happy you found it.....


about the scamming thing? ..I see that now, how the hell did my last bid and your only bid have a 200 dollar gap with nothing in between? not even an automatic bid from someone else.......I would be happy to participate in anything to help you out to see if this was some kind of fraud or not....

hey Jack Napalm, even after all that, it is soooo crazy, now there is ANOTHER BurgandyMist 3B on ebay right now.

I have never seen that color EVER, and now there are 2 out there listed almost back to back from different sellers. no mention of a case of any kind, so it's bass only for this guy who is selling it.

That's a Charvel 1B. 1Bs are characterized by having bolt-on maple necks, single P/HB pickups, and a volume and tone knob. Sorta like a Charvel version of the Fender P.

Ugh yeah I paid way too much to get that 3B back. It was originally about $350, I think, but when I sold it back, they put it on sale for upwards of $500. Ridiculous. For a beat-up, not really working old axe like that? Rrgh. But I love that thing...
