  • Jackson CMG

Hello, this is my first post in this forum.
I live in Sardinia, a beautiful island in Italy, and I love Jackson basses!

Unfortunately is very difficult to find them here...
I find in internert a CMG bass. It is used but, as the seller says, in very good contitions.
With all shipping costs, custom and taxes, I should pay it 400 $.

I got some questions for you.
What do you think about this bass? I'd like to buy an older model (like one of the concert or the professional series), but I think that it is very difficult to find one of them...
Do you think that the price is reasonable?

I need your help also to identificate this bass. The serial number is XN9737585. Do you know were and when it was manufactured?

    Thanx for your replies!

I have not played a CMG, but I have an older Professional series Concert V (5-string) and a C5P (looks like a turnip ) - I assume the CMG is just as good as those two, and $400 total is a very good price, especially if it's coming from overseas.

        Thank you for your replies!
I have found in this forum some infos about the serial number.

Having seven digits starting with '97', this bass should be made in Japan between 2003 and 2007. It's right?

And being that the CMG was introduced in that time, yes, 2003 to 2007 would be correct.

welcome to the Jackson bass area.. I am unable to help because I never owned one, but have played many similar models which have the same concert body and neck dimensions which always made me smile.

and for the price, heck ya I would buy it........
