nice JPB turnip bass Vain...those things always were just weird enough to be strangely attractive like that one that mattmarathon has

man thats a pic from an old post Andre. But a pointy head and a somewhat KipWinger look like yours and many others is killer and in all red---yep
I recently picked up this 89 F3NT pointy for a couple hundred:
Spector pups MOP diamonds and boundNeck
look at the hilarious pre they stick in these things compared to Jackson

as far as basses go, Jackson was never a great company for a lot of "selection". They bit the dust on that one when Fender bought them out, and they started using the gumbyheads ---yuk!

Yeah - I guess they are trying to appeal to a wider audience with the so called gumby headstock. I just think they should try and corner what they had before - a good rock/metal fan base. Leave the Fender style stuff to, well, Fender(not knocking it, own a few Fenders myself and love them). I think they could better corner a fair market if they reissued -
Concert
Futura
TBX
Just my thoughts.

You know your one of the very few that remembers the TBX series....
ahhhh the good old Jackson Japanese made days ...lolol
.
I only have 1 TBX, but a fellow member here ( shark ), has 2 of them, and theres only a few more floating around the world anymore since it was a failure from the start.
I'd buy another one even if it was a bolt-on with a dot neck as long as it said Jackson or Charvel on the sticker I'd be happy.
NO BULLSHIT HOMEMADE FENDERBIRDS, NO RANDOM COPIES WITH A GIBSONHEAD- the real JACKSON deal, or nothing!!!!!! ( even though I still have MY Epi and a Dillion Bird from years ago LONG LIVE THE POINTIES !!! )
