  • PC-1 Mocha/Chlorine

I bought this Mocha a few months ago, now the dealer has a Chlorine. Some of my buddies are saying..ha ha too bad you didn't get the chlorine! I like them both but am more than happy w-my mocha. What do you guys think (brutal honesty is ok)...the forum is slow anyways...

I like the chlorine better... but I'm not a quilty strat guy. The mocha burst doesn't work for me (neither to trans blacks, etc).

Both nice, but that Chlorine is calling my name. Whatever you do, don't tell me the name of the dealer. I can't spend that much $ again!

          I prefer the blue one.

The brown one totally doesn't do anything for me. Maybe if the black edges were faded a little more and didn't look so sharp, I don't know.

Whatever, if you're giving the brown one away, I'll gladly take it and play it, but I think the blue one is 1000% more awesomer.

The new Chlorine is ok (too much blue), but I liked the older version better.
I think the Mocha looks great.

I actually have a Trans Black SL1, which of course is really pretty much a very dark brown, as is Mocha.

I'll be honest... It's definitely not my favorite finish. But, I generally go for something a little "wilder" than that, you know, ghost flames, candy blue, Purple Daze (my PC1!)

So the reason I bought Trans Black is because I wanted something that was a little more "classy" than my other guitars, and of the "normal" trans finishes like natural, burnt cherry sunburst, etc. trans black is by far my absolute favorite of these.

So, yeah. Mocha = classy. And it's by far my favorite of any of the Jackson finishes that could be considered "classy" (this does not include white or black, which IMO are not really "classy" looking, although very cool nonetheless.)

                      :dunno:

                        Mocha!

Chlorine is quite nice... but the mocha looks really sharp.

I have a chlorine one. the mocha is stunning, i think you can't go wrong with either finish. if i ever buy another it would be the purple daze one - those are just sooo cool.

                          here's my chlorine:

Nice one, I like the way the blue is blended w-the green gradually. This one here in Houston kind of goes from green to blue almost without any blending. I also like how yours is natural stain on the rest of the body, the one at this shop is black. It's just fun to see what other PC owners think, the bottom line is PC's are kick fukin ass no matter what color!!!

i read somewhere that the newer (after fender acquired jackson) pc-1's all have solid color backs. any truth to this? mine is a 2001 model.

even some of the color ones liek purple etc have a darker purple back color (or black in some cases).

shame if its all like that - the woodgrain on the back of older PC1s is beautiful to look at.
