I've ordered my Soloist SL2H. And I was reading some specs at online stores and Guitar Center shows this one as CUSTOM. Is this it? SL1 is the normal model and SL2H is customized just by the fact having two hambuckers instyead of H-S-S?

the SL1 & SL2H are both standard production models, just with different pickup configurations.

It is possible that the guitar you have ordered is a custom though. Do you have a link to the guitar on the GC website?

This is the link that shows as custom. I guess maybe because of the flames paint. But Metallic Black could be considered as a custom collor?

Not directly via internet. I got a friend who lives in Connecticut and have some contacts in GC local stores. Every month she comes to Brazil and she'll brinh my new sl2h metallic black in november. I sent the link to her but I gave the specs too.

I like Guitar Center's return policy. Some places only give you 24 hours to check the guitar out, and IMO that's not enough.

But, that's about the only thing I like about them.

Yeah, metalic black is a common color. In 2005, GC's had a boatload of those, but the ebony fretboards weren't the greatest. Not very dark and lots of streaks.

Metallic Black has been a standard finish on USA Selects for a long time. Streaky boards? You sure they just didn't clean them properly?

its a standard series , you can't buy a custom shop jackson from guitar center unless its used . and they are the worst for knowing anything about jacksons

I know about customs. I just want to know what kind of mistake GC was making putting an add about slh2 in the internet as custom. There's nothing custom in those guitars.

Could it be they been confused of the fact that the USA production line is build at the same place, and by the same people as the CS?

yes you can, sometimes they order themselves a custom that they think people might like and they put on the shelf... you've never seen that?

they have done limited runs made for GC but to have a one off piece , i dont recall them ever doing that.

There´s nothing custom about that guitar, it´s a standard USA Select SL2H in Blue Ghost flames.

GC probaby thinks its a custom masterpiece cause it blows away anything else in their inventory.
