Vintage soloist? I need some help please!

Got an email for a trade offer towards my motorcycle on craigslist. Guy says he has a vintage USA Soloist. He thinks 82-84 era? I have never laid my hands on any of the vintage stuff and have no idea how to verify it. I really dont care about the bike and have to get it out of the garage anyway. I would be getting the guitar and 4k making the axe value around 800 or so.

Supposedly its minty or at least very good. He says the color is dark purple. Fill me in if yall can!
