  • Jackson PC1 1999

Was this a good year for this guitar? I've got one coming in the Euphoria (pink) color. I'm wondering if anyone can comment on the PC1's from that time.

Is this by any chance a recent ebay score?

We were watching a Euphoria auction the last days.

The general consensus is that the older PC1's certainly had nicer and far more consistant tops than the newer ones which tend to be hit and miss at times.

I for one am a huge fan of the older Sears headstock and really like the two knob versions unlike the newer three knob versions.

Either way anyone will tell you that regardless of the year they are easily among the finest Jackson guitars period.

Welcome and enjoy your new PC1!

Yes. This is in fact the "ebay score" that went for 12k recently.

Funny you guys were watching it... Thread?

Congratulations and above all welcome to the JCF!

Any PC1 regardless of the year is easily worth $1200.

I am sure that you will just love the playability of the guitar not the mention the sustainer unit as well.

I have owned countless guitars in the last 25 years and let me tell when the chips fell not that long ago (unemployment, family matters etc) and I was forced to sell every last guitar and pretty much every last piece of gear, only two items remained.

My Solar PC1 and my trusty Marshall JCM900 combo.

I will NEVER sell my PC1!

Needless to say we need to see some pics once the PC1 arrives!
