ohh ok, that makes sense then, yeah, I would definitely not class this neck in the chunky category at all, I am really knocked out by how well the neck feels and plays. I'm not sure of the exact year of mine, maybe early 2000's ? thanks again for the info!

It could be late 90s or early 2000s. There are folks here who can date it much better than me. Either way it's a fine piece and you should be very very happy with it. I still regret selling my solar Koa PC-1 to this day but I know it went to a good home.
