  • Jackson RR1T question

Hey all I have a Jackson USA RR1T model which I love! My question is: Is it possible to install EMG's (85/81) in it considering that it's string thru? Where would the battery go? Thanks

Very possible. Fit the battery in behind the control plate with everything else.

What pickups are you changing from?

I have a 1995 with OEM Bill Lawrence USA pickups, and would consider EMG's a downgrade. I do have 3 EMG loaded axes; one is an RR. I do like EMGs, but there are just too many pickups out their for just one pickup to be the be-all end-all of pickups.

Well I have a Bill Lawrence L500XL in the bridge position, and a Duncan '59 in the neck. However, I'm looking for new tones to fiddle around with. So I was wondering what it would sound like if I threw some EMG's in the mix.
