It's on my sig, but when the time comes to post pics, I never have anything but one of me jamming out on her because it has been safely tucked away out of state. Now I am visiting. Now I have a camera. I would like to share a little bit of the legend with you guys.
Most of you know the story and quite a few of you could teach me a thing or 40 about the legend and the guitar, but for the few that don't know, here goes...
Randy Rhoads got together with Grover Jackson and designed his own guitar on a cocktail napkin. The guitar borrowed heavily from the Gibson Les Paul and the Flying V, the two "other" guitars he was most known for. The V design is obvious, but the Les Paul is evident with the knob and pickup switch placement as well as the block inlays on the fretboard. This prototype was white with black pinstripes, which would be dubbed "The Original SIN," but he ultimately rejected the design for production due to the difficulty in reaching the upper frets. The re-designed model had a longer wing to differentiate the guitar from a V and a different rake to the neck, allowing for clearer fret access. This was called his Concorde, and it became the forefather to all production Jackson Rhoads guitars.
In 1992, Jackson released a limited production replica of each and after working my ass off and making some moves including horse-trading my very first guitar (a black Rhoads Pro), I had the honor and privilege of owning both. I have posted pictures of the "Concorde" model (known as the Rhoads Player's Choice Series) periodically because it has travelled with me. Tonight, I give you the Original SIN Replica Otherwise known as the Tribute LTD.
The 1992 Promo
My original receipt(s) There's two because I had to layaway that
sucker, but all that matters are the first and last tickets!
The sun sets upon it... a bittersweet reminder of 1982
A little blurry...
For the "whole guitar pic only" haters...

Pretty tempting, but I'm hanging on to mine...
