Dinky Vs Soloist

DK1 feels pretty good to me... So does a Soloist.

I don't care for painted necks, if they're painted with lacquer. They feel "sticky" and get little balls of goo on them, they need to be wiped down often, and usually I notice about halfway through a song.

Soloist necks (painted with polyurethane) don't bug me at all. :dunno:

Dinkys are cool. The only one I have is neck-thru “C” 24 fret with a stinger. I guess I could also count my Demon as a dink too. It has about the same body size. Don't really care about neck finish. They all play the same to me.

If that "Dinky" is neck thru, it's a Soloist.

All USA made Jackson have necks, that feel more comfortable than imprort's ones.

By the way, there are two neck types available for USA Jacksons : standard (soloist, dinky, kelly, rr) and speed (king v and warrior). I had both DK-1 and SL-1. I think that the difference in feeling is connected with the neck finish. Soloist has painted neck while DK-1 is naked

The kelly should be in the speed neck group.
