Saw this on GC website. Incredibly low price. Maybe one of you Cali guys should check it out in person.

I would've posted this in the classifieds, but.....

I tried to post a link but it didn't work. Look it up- GC El Toro, Lake Forest California $479 !

If you're referring to the one in El Toro, it's a PC3, not a PC1 or even a PC2 as they describe it.

And it's over priced as usual.

Can't see it - that link is generic and my searches aren't finding a PC1...
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Not even a PC2 (which technically doesn't exist)
          PC3

There was a PC-2, but it went the way of the DR-2, RR-2, and SL-2.
I believe this one was simply moved to Japan and dubbed the PC-3, since all the "2" models were USA-made with import hardware. There'd be no real way to determine a PC-2 from a PC-3 if they were made side-by-side except by the headstock logo (which can be faked) and the neckplate (which is only bolted on).

            The PC-2 was basically a USA-made PC-3 - no Sustainor, etc etc.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Newc: sorry, but wrong. The PC2 was USA made with Duncan pickups, no sustainer, and a Wilkinson trem with locking tuners. Only a few were made.

PC3s were imports with cheapo Duncan Designed PUs, Jackson import Floyd copy, non-locking tuners and satin hardware.

              Night and day.

As already mentioned above, the pic is clearly an import PC3.

The PC2 was a GC only model. (GC requested it be named that)
Made in USA, but didn't have Phil's sig on the headstock. Had the CS logo.
It was not an "official" PC guitar.

They came in Red and Natural.

                  Here is the Natural

This was the prototype that never went anywhere... thank god!

I remember it was a GC model. Don't remember ever seeing it in natural, but very cool!

Pretty sure there was at least one green or blue one, too. Can't remember, though.
