Slim...hmmm interesting. Better save up some coin. Very nice guitar. Always wanted a green neony guitar. Came close to buying a Jem 777LNG once, but they are unplayable. They play great, it's just that there were only 777 ever produced. In 87, so it's smarter to just have it guarded by olde english nights and an army of highly trained mercernaries until it's worth something

I have an interesting Shannon story. I saw the Shannon being offered and flipped out - just the classic Soloist I wanted! I called the custom shop in '98 or so, and asked if they would make me a Pearl White Shannon w/ black hardware. They nicely agreed, and only charged like $150 extra or something like that. When I got the guitar a month or so later, it sounded pretty dead, and when I opened the control cavity, it was slime green. Seems they sanded a slime green Shannon to paint it white for me. I even saw sander marks through the white paint. So I called the custom shop, and they nicely said they had one un-painted Shannon body left, and they would paint it white, and exchange it for my Green/White one.

So, there are TWO snow white pearl Shannon soloists in the world. One, a former Slime Green, the other, white, but also kinda dead sounding to me (I sold it). Prettiest guitar you ever saw (except for my original 85 Soloist). I loved the signature on the back of the headstock.

How does your slime green one sound??

Sounds awesome. Pretty similar to my RR1T but screams a little bit more, if that makes sense. I had to spend a bunch of time setting it up today. Buddy I bought it from hasn't played it in years so it was badly needed.

That sucks dude. I had some guy trying to pick my lock while my wife and I were sleeping. Luckily she got up to go to the bathroom, heard buddy outside, and we called the cops. He was long gone by the time they got here, though.
