And I'm wanting to put this neck on it or wait for a period correct USA Jackson neck, but how often do they become available.I just hate to molest this model 4/nightswan/vandenburg tribute with a neck single coil and original midboost with an ESP/LTD no logo trem.

What pickups would be in the Jackson or does it depend on the work order. I plugged it in and really liked the sound of the single coil on a clean channel.

The single is more than likely a J-100, those sound sweet, and maybe a J-50 in the bridge.I'll bet it has a JE-1000 pre, and that toggle is hooked up to it.

I'm hoping it does have the JE-1000, although when I tested it the sound was cutting out, it wasn't the guitar cord, I didn't really take time to look for the short,it was Christmas eve and they were about close, besides a new pot switch or jack, or maybe even a bad solder, these can all be easily fixed.

Well it being a medium sized bible belt type town, I don't see too many people that appreciate Jackson's or even know what it means to have a San Dimas plate on it,even though by the # it seems to point to Ontario, excellent none the less. It's a college town so I figure there should be a few guitarists but they have mostly Ibanez and LTDs,I live 21 miles away but I work in that town so I stop by regularly, I've been eyeing an 80's Kramer Focus 3000 with an OFR for $169, but all that went out ''the window when I saw ''the gargoyle".

What kind of 3-way switch does the Jackson have, how much of a difference would a CTS pot make and which one would I get to replace the one on it.

Does anyone have any pictures of any of the other "gargoyle" guitars.

Ive done many pot switches in my time and despite what the tone gurus say I cant hear much difference in the different brand of pots. I can hear differences between different values. The lower the resistance number the more highs get shunted to ground. So with a 250K pot you will lose more high end frequencies than a 500k pot. And a 1meg ohm pot has become popular for that wide open "pickup without a tone control" sound. Personally I prefer 500K with a .001 pf cap to take off only the very highest frequencies and give it a closed wah type sound. But its fun to experiment with different cap values and different pots. The only upside ive found to using CTS pots is they last alot longer, seem to be able to take solder connections much easier (the solder grabs the metal. Very little issues with cold joints) and Ive never burned one up on install. Ive fried many dime sized pots when not using a heat sink. But as far as a difference in tone from one manufacturer to the next? i am not that gifted I guess. And too me thats a good thing. If I had such a finicky ear I would drive myself crazy and would never be satisfied with anything. With that good of an ear I would be able to hear the difference in copper vs. gold strand wire. And I dont want that burden of tone in my head.

Again are there any pics or links to any other Gargoyle Pencil Sketch USA Jackson bolt-on's.
I know there's #4161,and one other but for some reason I can't seem to find the gallery.

Okay how off would an import RR3 neck be as far as getting the neck angle correct or should I just go with the Model series maple with maple fretboard.
I'm also still looking for any other pictures.

Hmm I have a 475 MOP neck that I could maybe part with for a reasonable price, but its not maple.

Just thinking here but I have a Maple maple JTX neck as well but you would have to ck to see if it would fit with the experts here...Im doubting it.
