  • a VERY rare bit of Jackson eye candy for you -- the PETER MAX!

one of only 12 ever made in 1997.

this is seriously one of the coolest Jackson finishes EVER. Peter Max art is HIGHLY expensive.

Love the handpainted Jackson logo on this one.....

I am gonna film a video demo of me playing this guitar next week. I'm interested to hear how it sounds and how it plays, with all that finish on the neck.

I have not seen any trace of where the other 11 of these are.....has anyone else seen them????

Nice. I always liked those. Only seen them in the catalog. I thought there was less than 11 made, though.

I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

To be honest, I think I'd pay less for that than a Mike Learn or a Dan Lawrence.

Interesting to see.....doesn't really scream Jackson to me with that bridge and no sharkies, but its cool.

On the other hand though there are lots of 1 of 1s out there in terms of rarity.

                    Headstock

Yeah I'm digging the headstock as well. I guess it fits the type of art that was in style at the time.

Very cool - can't get past these just being a JRS-1 with expensive paint though....

I think most are missing the point. Peter Max art is pretty expensive as roccotanto pointed out. In fact back around 1980 there was a 1967 Camaro for sale locally that was purchased new by its original owner then Peter Max painted it with rising sun on one side and stars and moon on the other. In 1980 $ they wanted $8K for it.
Anyway, cool guitar roccotanto. I've never seen one in person. I remember the cover of the Jackson catalog having it on there as well as one that popped up for sale on E-Bay a few years back. I don't think it sold and I'm thinking the guy started the bidding at $9-10K (?). Can't remember for sure.

I hate painted fretboards... kinda cool guitar though, I like the HS

And the art being expensive, well that kinda depends who you are comparing it to, next to Jackson Pollock or Picasso not so much, next to 'joe blow' in your local gallery, well hell yeah its expensive.
