I called for fun. They are sticking to $5799.00. WOW!!!!!!! I reminded them we are in a recession and that guitar appeals to a VERY SMALL market. Stickin' to his guns. I'll admire the picture

Well, see, they got two calls in a couple of days and probably a bunch of hits on that axe in the Guitar Gallery so they think there's some "buzz" and they're going to reel in a live one...

          They'll sell it someday.

Little do they know, all the buzz is from THIS thread!

Then buy a cheaper guitar, not a Custom Shop. If times are so tough you can't pay full price, shop elsewhere. This isn't food or shelter, it's a luxury item. If you have the extra money to buy luxury items, then you have the extra money to pay full price.

And yeah, that price is entirely too high for a guitar that will never increase in value.

Eh.. Doesn't Fuller's Guitar have these made on a regular basis? I've seen this twice with them. Both times I was offered it for $3999. I just didn't manage to get enough money together to buy it though. Maybe we could do a LTD version here?
                I'd be all over that!!

I think you're right, ToneZone, I know I have seen it somewhere before besides Sweetwater and Fuller's seems right.

I suspect Jackson may have done a number of them and sold them to various dealers. Just like the Phil Collen thing.

Yes, there was a run of these. Fuller's had a few. There were RR, KV, and KE versions, too. Cool guitars but, IMHO, well overpriced for the specs.

I want to say that Fullers at a set of four, soloist, kelly, King V and Flying V. I thought the ones they had were natural all the way around and not black on the back. I could be wrong.

                        For $4k or $5k, I expect a guitar made to *my* specifications, not a dealer's or Jackson's.

Carvin will build you something virtually identical other than a slightly different scale length and different inlays for 1/4 of that price. Koa and whatever else you want.

That thing is deadly nice though.

Nice guitar, but I can't believe they wouldn't budge one penny on the price. I don't think they'll reel somebody in at the asking price. Ever. But I could be wrong.
