Ebay has a wonderful function where you can check the prices of completed auctions. You should try it sometime.

thanks but its hard to tell some people have customs and want like 2500-4000 but i want to know the real value
like what one of you guys would pay
not some fictional "piece of jackson history" gimmick

everyone wants an arm and leg

would it be easy to stick an origional floyd on her??

Completed auctions show what people have actually paid for an item. Not what the seller is asking for it.

i think its worth more than $400.00 racer but i looked on the e-bay listings
it seems to go from 1,200-1,500
            does that sound accurate

$400 would definitely be a fair price for that.

Newbies get smacked around a lot because they just want to come here, find out what their shit is worth, and bail.

Most of the members are here because they love J/C guitars, and like to talk J/C guitars.

You are correct that the JT-6 trem will most likely hurt the sale value.

                    Nice axe none-the-less.

It's been on GBase for ages - I think it was $1500 on there, but maybe less...
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

                        but im always buying/selling
i like to be fair and always pass gear on

                        now yes im new but
                        i love jacksons

Yeah, there is no way in hell I'd pay $1500 for that. I like it, even. I don't care for the JT6 but that's easy enough to fix. I'm assuming it's a behind-the-nut lock, too.

Realistically, $1000 give or take a few hundred bucks is where I'd put it.

The market sucks right now. Possibly $1500 when it's not all doom and gloom... Doubt it right now, though.

I'd suggest somewhere around 850-1000. The JT-6 hurts the resale value for sure. I'd suggest Floyding it and enjoying it yourself, because I think even with a Floyd it's not going to fetch more than 1200 or so, which isn't really a lot for an item you probably shelled out a large chunk of change on, since it's from the CS.
