Actually, no offense to anyone, but who gives a shit LOL . It's not like they're remarkably heavy or particularly light. Nothing out of the ordinary that needs to be discussed. In fact, i think the Jackson website gives you the average weight of the soloist under the ''Specs'' column.

The best thing about the DK1 (and soloists) is that they are pretty balanced and rest easy in your lap if you are sitting down. I've never played a V or a Kelly but I imagine by comparison they probably are more uncomfortable to play.

Well the V is just awkward, but you end up resting the concave art between your leg. The kelly, is actually really comfortable to place standing up or sitting down. When you're sitting it rests perfectly on your leg. You'd be surprised.
