It's not that it wouldn't be worth the hassle at all, or that I love the guitar so much I couldn't bear to part with it. The wait would be no big deal - I've got 12 others in the stable that I could pick up and play. It's just honestly no big deal for me. It's not a flaw or quality control issue from Jackson or the dealer. FedEx likely tossed it in the warehouse or the truck, causing the chip. Even if I bought it local and there were 3 others in stock at the store - I wouldn't have bothered taking it back for an exchange. It just doesn't bother me.
And for the record - of all my other Jacksons - not a single one has come with ANY kind of flaw on it.
