    Do you find the S3 to be nice and articulate as well? I play progressive metal with my band I want a pickup that is nice and smooth but hot. I tune to D Standard.
    I like EL34s.

      I had no prob with the SIII tuned to D, I've also used a Pafpro in that tuning. I noticed you have a So-Cal which has a Tonezone, I find that pup to have a bit too much low end for me. If you like high end then I would try a regular Super D or maybe those new liquifire pups that JP is using.
