I would say that my PC1 sustained really well... I kept checking to see if the sustainer was on!

Once I set it up for .009's the thick neck wasn't so bad.

Ultimately, it's something you would have to try for yourself to see if you could deal with it. Personally, I don't think I would buy another one, but I didn't really have mine long enough to decide for sure if it wasn't for me, although it seemed like I was leaning that way. :dunno:

Most specs on the PC1 are an upgrade as compared to "standard" Jackson USA Selects, so that's why these typically sell at a premium vs most Jacksons - both new and used. Mahogany body, quilt-top, strathead, flamed fretboard, sustainer, gold hardware.

As to the necks, I love them. No difficulty adjusting to them and, IMHO, they also beef up the tone somewhat by resonating more. And all that is coming from a guy who was previously a die-hard thin neck lover. I now love both neck styles - variety is the spice of life.
+1 Same here! Love the necks and the sustainer. No gimmic there.

I just bought one on musicians friend's website. I could've bought new...but I checked the used prices....they rate them on condition....on a scale of 1 to 5. Condition 1 being like new...just a return, so the packaging might not be sealed. Condition 2 is considered almost like new..played a little, but no signs of damage/dings/scratches, etc. Condition 3 may have small damage..a ding or scratch....and then 4 and 5 are higher levels of damage (and non-returnable).
I'm not a stickler for packaging, but I did want something that was at the same level as new. So I saw that for a condition 1, I could save 200 bucks.

Now I'm just waiting for it to be delivered. Really really excited. I'm a big Lep fan, and that guitar has been on my wanted list for a long time

I'm a Charvel guy at heart...so to get a bolt-on Jackson keeps me closer to my roots. To have something with that kind of woods, a sustainer, high end hardware, etc....I'm really expecting something special here.
