A few years ago I ordered a USA Select King V through a local music store thats a Jackson dealer. It arrived with no serial number stamped into the fretboard but it had it on the hang tag. The guitar had to be returned to Jackson because of other issues but yes, it does happen where they forget to stamp the serial number into it. Sometimes they stamp the wrong one into it such as on my custom shop Rhoads. I'm the original owner and the guitar and its hang tag have two different numbers. Mistakes happen.
If this one you're looking at is a fake its a mighty good one. Whoever faked it can build one exactly like Jackson can
No serial number can raise issues if you were to resell it, thats just how it is. But if you intend to play it and keep it and its a good price then there's you're chance to get a USA Jackson that was either custom ordered or part of a small batch limited run as pointed out earlier.
That is 100% not a fake, and is a badass looking guitar! No serial number could mean it was an employee guitar, who knows. But if the price is right, Id jump on it asap!
Imagine, being able to be magically whisked away to... Delaware. Hi... Im in... Delaware...
I bougth it for 600$, so if its legit its a steal. It plays great and the weight feels right so if you guys say its a genuine Jackson Im pretty happy.
I bought it of a guy who visited the states two years ago (Im norwegian), but he did not mention that the serial number was lacking. Kinda freaked out when I found out.
Hey, why don't you visit the states for a few weeks. You can stay at my house. Bring the guitar, though. And, a couple of large duffel bags, and maybe a chain saw and several pounds of lye.

I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.
