12 String Soloists

I've recently seen 12 string soloists sell on ebay that have 6/6 tuners split between the headstock and body -- it may be something I'm interested in. Are these things easy to pick up or will I have to enter a bidding war to get one? I'm not extremely familiar with these.

There are not many 12 strings . So there might be a bidding war.
