Scott Ians new Jackson signature!!

The inlays are kind of meh for me, but the one thing that will stop me from buying this guitar is the fact that it's only a 1 HUM. I have a hard on for neck pickups.

my guess is its gonna be an import. It seems most signature guitars sans pc1 are japanese and if you want a USA produced sig you have to go through the custom shop. I guess it makes sense as signature guitars IMHO are for the younger crowd who idolizes guitar players and havent hit their own stride. In some cases like with the mark morton guitar its easy for alot of people to gravitate to a classy instrument like that. But in general most signature guitars are too "band or artist" specific and tend to eliminate most of the general public from wanting one of the guitars. I know the only way Id be able to own a signature guitar is if it wasnt obvious that its a sig. Like the dominion. But things like the zakk wylde les pauls or even a Jem have too much of the artists tastes built into the instrument to be your own player. Though it seems the jems dont suffer from my theory. I do agree with the statement that the guitar is kinda boring. But im a flashy guy and like exotic wood, trans finishes and abalone.

There was a limited run of NYC Soloists at Guitar Express.
When was it? 2000 or 2001? I almost bought one of them, but they were already sold out.

Hmmm. I remember Lloyd and Guitar Xpress, but I don't seem to remember that run.

I would love to see Jackson make a NYC Graphic, or a Judge Death/Dredd model ... just coz they were cool

I`m sure his new sig is nice`n all but where`s the sense of fun that Scott had back in the day.

I know it's an old thread, but I had to add some input on the headstock. It kind of bothers me, how it itself has a burst effect on it. Wouldn't it be more "realistic" if the headstock would just be black, and neat if the Jackson logo was either Silver or maybe even a burst silver?
