  • Jackson RR questions

    Hi!

I'm really interested in buying an old Jackson RR (USA)
But my knowledge is very limited, so please answer these
    following questions:

Which RR -models are the most valuable ones?

How much is a decent price for an 80's RR?

What are the differences between the RR models?

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Well, what's "old" to you? The present Production USA Rhoads has been in the same basic configuration since about 1996: Floyd Rose, Duncans. From about 94-96 the necks were a little different and they were using Lawrence pickups with the Schaller JT-590. From 1990 - 1994 or so they were using Jackson pickups with a mid boost circuit. Those necks were very comfortable. Prior to 1990, they were all Custom Shop, but most had the skinny/tall frets.

The most valueable ones are those with Floyd Rose trems and "RR" serial numbers. Graphics add even more.

With a Kahler you can get the lowest price possible. I've even seen San Dimas Kahler'ed Rhoads go for under a G. There's some modern USA Production Rhoads on eBay for around that price. I know of a GC that has one in Erie Dess graphics for $899.
