Here she is!! The EMG-X's sound better than I thought. I will replace them with a JB in the bridge and a '59 in the neck. I'm trying to get use to no fret markers. I may add abalone dots later. Don't want to take away from the Brazilizn fretboard too much. I like this alot better than ebony. I'm thinking of ZEBRA's instead of black. Thoughts?? This is the closest to a les paul sound I have gotten. Enjoy:

That is a super pretty guitar - very nice grab. I really like the look of zebra pickups, but I think that black would probably look better in that guitar...

Gorgeous guitar, congrats. I was thinking zebras would look killer on that one before I even read your post. IMHO, a chrome hardware swap with that would be even cooler.

Love the pool, too. Very cool design.

Guitar has fret markers, just no inlays. Don't try adding inlays, you'll devalue the guitar.

Thanks for the correction about the inlays!

That thing is beautiful. I've been wanting to try the EMG-X's, so hit me up if you want someone to take 'em off your hands!

Old thread revival... anybody know if this thing is around somewhere? I've always loved this.

That is amazing. A masterpiece. I think it deserves some special pups so I'd go for BKPs personally or at least, if it has to be Duncans (nothing wrong with that), I'd go for a SH6/SH2 set.
And not zebra. It would detract from the beautiful aesthetics you have in the guitar already. Black or maybe gold.

                      Congrats.

That looks real nice! I concur with Mazrim, some BKPs would really make it unique.

Pretty, but not my thing. It would have looked better as a 1 hum. lol

Yep, one hum (the EMG), floyd & sharkies...........maybe even a reverse hs.

                            Anyway, it is nice.

To those still thowing out pickup suggestions, I'm sure (I'd hope?) after two years the OP has found whatever pickups are a good fit for this axe.
