12 String Electric?

I can't seem to find any information on the Soloist 12 strings with the 6/6 tuners on the body and headstock. Like this one:

I've been on the market for a 12 string with this style configuration (not the 12 tuners on headstock). I can't find many production guitars which have this style. I'm guessing one of these will break my bank if I find one?

Oh yeah, those 12-string Soloists are RARE! There was one from the late '80s that was relisted several times on eBay recently, but I don't know if it actually sold. The asking price was pretty high, IIRC.

That NAMM guitar is beautiful, and that's certainly in line with what you would pay to custom order one.

Off the top of my head, the only current production 12-string I can think of with that tuner arrangement is the BC Rich Bich 6/12 doubleneck. Unfortunately, BC Rich doesn't make a 12-string singleneck version, though they do offer a production 10-string Bich now, which doesn't have courses on the low E and A strings.

Yeah that's what I figured. There was a white 12 string soloist on the bay not too long ago. I forgot what it went for, but I believe it was sub $1500. I use 12 string electrics quite frequently and I thought these were quite interesting guitars. It's too bad there weren't too many made. I suppose they don't garner too much interest being 12 strings and all.

Wow... When I first looked at the soloist I was thinking "Damn! Are there any 12-stringed rhoads?" right away. When I saw your link I was so excited, but DAMN!

That's one ugly piece of guitar, imo. Rosewood fingerboard... and headstock? Those stripes aren't my cup of tea either.

I'm requesting pictures of a black, 12-stringed rhoads with ebony fingerboard with white bindings.
