      Its most likely poly but keep in mind there are exceptions, Jackson was painting pretty much whatever you wanted. I have a custom shop Rhoads that is lacquer. I know cause I ordered it that way and even sent them the actual paint I wanted to use on it. Mine was built in the late 90's at which time PPG polys were Jackson's preffered choice.

        The factory will not use Polyester over lighter colors due to discoloration. It is lighter in color, it is more than likely Urethane.
