Anyone heard any news on this new Phil Collen PC1 Supreme?

Played it for what, 2 minutes then stuck it back on the stand.

+1 the older Phil Collen signature was fugly as hell too.

I don't think they are going to replace the PC1 with the supreme, The PC Supreme is going to be another Phil Collen model they will add to his signature series. Phil told me about the PC Supreme serveral months ago & he said he has a couple of the supreme models he has been testing out. I don't think they will ever do away with the PC1 it is one of Jackson's top selling guitars.

Supposed to replace the original PC1's from what I have read.

while it is ugly i still say the ugliest jackson guitar ever created was the death angel. I know it has a few fans but I think its grotesque. I think guitarists should stay guitarists. Now that im starting to build guitars I know how much of a hardship design really is. Its hard to come up with something that is different but attractive at the same time. Too many guitars are made to look different for the sake of being different at the expense of any taste what so ever. Some designs just dont flow well. This guitar being one of them. I really cant think of a guitarist designed model I like. Dave mustaines axion (Spelling?) was horrible. The only ones that I do think look good are slight variations of existing designs. The demmel V is an example of that. But these one off ideas completely designed by guitarists just leave a total WTF impression on me. Its weird though this new PC is very reminiscent of the old neal schon guitars.

Actually the Death angel design was created by Rob Cavestany and to be honest if the size was improved like the SG horn being bigger and same with the lower back horn it would be a great design but with this PC1 supreme, it doesn't even look like phil created it, let alone likes it.

It's not a bad design... I don't like the board or anything and it is nowhere near a substitute for the PC1 (although you all know my opinion on the double cutaway superstrat shape). I think it has potential. It's certainly unique. The old PC Sig was ugly as hell though.

EDIT: IMO If these go production, they should put a smurfhead on them, Just to be able to put it on another model :P

I know who designed the death angel. Thats why I say guitarists should stay guitarists and let the guys who know what they are doing design them. I dont care what you do to the death angel. I think its the worst shape jackson has ever entertained. Maybe phil didnt have anything to do with the design of his new guitar. Atleast I hope not.
