Walk away. The horrible "mods" and "fixes" carried out on this guitar is a tell-tale on the extreme ignorance of a previous owner. Everything he did to that guitar, including stuff you don't see in the pictures, is done with a total lack of understanding of everything mechanical.

Someone really did a hack job on that one.

I wouldn't pay more than $600USD for that. You figure how much it will cost to bring it back up to a playable condition...

I'd pass on that thing, too. Looks like ass.
You mean a non-locking trem. They threw away the nut locks as well.

And at this point, can you even call it a trem?

OK so how does this rate as a butchered Jackson / Charvel. As there been worse cases?????? Probably should start a new thread on this, the most abused guitar / mods.....................................

At no point should it be called a trem. Because the unit NEVER could produce a tremolo effect. It is capable of producing a vibrato effect, which is a totally different effect.

Sorry if I'm an ass today

I've seen worse cases posted in here that have been fully restored, the difference being people have grabbed them at prices more in the $300-$500 range.

                    Not a problem.

Take up the argument with Leo Fender. He's the one who couldn't get the terminology correct.

And you know what else pisses me off? Pickups never have GAIN!!! They only have output. I can't count how many times I cringe when someone says "I need a high gain pickup" or similar.
