Jackson RR1

Hey guys,

I was under the impression all the USA RR's had a pearl inlaid Jackson logo on the headstock, but recently I saw one for sale that did not. It does however still say made in USA. Is this uncommon? Is it even an RR1T, or something else?

Not all USA RRs have the MOP logo. That was really started in the early/mid 90s, and many, many RRs have been built without that. Some are still done so today (RR1Ts, I think).

My 2003 RR1t in black had a non pearl logo then I had a 2001 RR1t in white with black pinstripes that had a pearl logo.

I've seen RR's with and without the MOP logo, depending on the finish. (200x EDS RR1 had a decal logo)

Serial number will help determine for sure whether it is a USA model or not.

I've got a 2000 gunmetal gray RR1T with mother of pearl logo, but my old black 2004 RR1T had a silkscreen logo. Here's a pic from the black one.

Also, RR2 logos were painted.

Friend of mine has a RR1T from 2000 with Painted logo..

They also use the black logo with the natural finish. I imagine it's because the MOP is hard to see on the natural wood.
