Yeah, it sure didn't come like that from the factory! Can you read what is says in the guitar cavity underneath the trem springs. Usually it may give a hint about if there was a specific type of paint used or if there was a graphic on it.

That's a soloist custom that's had the paint removed. Without the serial # it's difficult to say for sure, but from the JT6 and oversize bridge pickup, I'm gonna guess it's from 1988...

Well guessed Ian, J4537 was made in '88.

At a guess, and depending where you are and condition, who wants it and how badly:

$900 - $1300 US
£650 - £850 UK
E700 - E950 Europe.

Figure on the lower figures and you wont be too far off.
It is, however, a pretty shitty time to be selling guitars for cash.

Of course the paint was stripped. You can, obviously, see blue paint in the trem cavity.

With that pic I'm assuming the finish was Blue Flake? (I think that's the name of it)

But anyway, whoever did that is quite the ass.
