    Hey Guys,

Recently, I was able to purchase a Jackson JJ2. I have wanted one of these guitars for ages as I really like the look. That being said, I am finding the pickups a little to hot and am considering swapping them for something different to maybe make the guitar more versatile. I'm not sure if I should, but I am looking for some possible suggestions in case I want to make a change in the future.

I current pickups are Seymour Duncans. I believe they are named after Scott Ian, but I am not 100% sure.

    Anyway, thanks for the help.

I don't have any pics at present, but I was able to find some on google of another guys and the color and everything is the same. Here is a link:

They come with Duncan Diablos in them. I actually like mine.

I like the Diablos in mine, my only complaint was they have shit resale value.

If they are too hot for you lower the pickups a little. It should "lighten" them up a bit. I played one years ago and loved it. If that doesn't work send the pickups to me

The Diablo is 22K - the PATB2 (Distortion Parallel Axis) is 21K, and so far those two are the hottest Duncan has.

I'd say go for a Custom or JB+/Distortion Lite (JB with standard-sized ceramic mag) in the bridge and a JB in the neck.
