  • Look what I found

In a local pawn shop that never has anything good I found this, a USA San Dimas Jackson! Or at least that's what the neck plate says, I'm guessing 86 or 87 please correct me if you can from such a terrible pic. I'm picking it up tomorrow, the headstock point is perfect the ebony board is amazing and the frets look great. Sparkel flake silver bolt on with the back of the neck and matching headstock, No chips or scratches anywhere that I could see. Jt6 bridge with a string lock behind the nut wich will need to be swaped out for a floyd, anyway so the amazing part is $319.00 out the door with the ohsc! I'll post a whole bunch of pics when I pic her up tomorrow.

Congrats, that's a great price on a Jackson Strat.

Some of the best J/C deals show up in pawnshops and the mom and pop music shops.

Great score. I'm a pawn shop hound from way back and I still scout them pretty regularly. Back in the 80's in Austin, TX, it was awesome. They hadn't quite caught on to the modern "metal" guitars yet, so they would ask a fortune for Gibsons and Fenders, but practically pay you to take Jackson, Charvel, Kramer, and Ibanez.

Pretty sweet. 87-88 SD plated Jacksons are some very good guitars.
I'm a pawn shopper too and yes it pays to go every week even if they never have anything good.
Good deals are still out there.
